Dr. Angeliki Foustana

Special Teacher, Scientific Associate of the Center for Psychophysiology and Education and        Assisant Professor at the Faculty of Primary Education, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Professor in Teachers’ Training

I have acted as a Research Associate at the Research Center of Psychophysiology and Education. I was awarded a scholarship during my undergraduate studies. My postgraduate studies are in Special Education – Psychology at the Faculty of Primary Education, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. I was awarded with a stipend from the European Union for my doctoral dissertation on gifted students’ cognitive development. I have received a specialization from the Institute of Education, University of London on planning educational programs for gifted students. I was a Lecturer at Marasleio, University of Athens from 2003 until 2011 on “Psychophysiology”, “Neuro-Physiology – Neuro-psychology” “Neuro-physiology of child” “Mental disorders of children and adolescents”, “Pedagogical Psychology of children with special educational needs” and teaching assistant in  “Special Education for Gifted children” to undergraduate level. I have worked as Teacher, Special Teacher, and Headmistress in Special Institutions for children with special needs. I work with School Counselors for the special training of elementary and secondary tutors. As a researcher I have participated in many congresses and symposiums. My book with Prof. Papadatos Yiannis is about the contribution of gifted personalities on human civilization. I have implement European program on gifted students and research programs of University of Athens. I am member of PEE, PESEA and PEEP.
