I have been a member of the Center for Psychophysiology and Education since 2005 and I have completed my PhD in Special Education and Psychology at the Faculty of Primary Education of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2013). My PhD work focuses on the differences in language laterality among children with intellectual disability, typical developement and intellectual giftedness using behavioural and neuropsychological indices, as well as a brain imaging technique, functional transcranial Doppler ultrasound (fTCD). Since 2009, I also work as a Special Education Teacher in special education schools or special classes in regular schools. My research activity in the field of neuropsychology and my educational experience have reinforced my research interest in the contribution of neuroscience in the special education process. I have presented several research papers in Greek and international conferences and i have participated in research programmes related to the field of Special Education.
